Banana Bread Oatmeal Recipe

If you’re a parent, you know how imperative it can be to have easy recipes on hand that are easy, can be made quickly, and give you energy to show up and be your best self. This recipe is all of that AND it’s delicious!   


  • 1 banana (the more ripe, the more sweet)
  • 1/3 cup oats (I used steel cut because that's all I had)
  • 1 egg 
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder 
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or sweetener of choice


  • Mix all ingredients together in a bowl
  • Microwave for 2-3 minutes or until done to your liking 
  • Add with desired toppings! I added yogurt, coconut flakes and coconut sugar for added sweetness!
  • Want more protein? Try adding Greek yogurt and chia seeds!
